Sometimes the wrong thing suits our purposes. Sometimes it just feels good to do the wrong thing.

I think that sometimes the wrong thing is easier for people to do. We have more of a chance getting hurt ourselves, by always doing the right thing and putting ourselves out there. As for wanting the wrong thing it would depend on what exactly you were talking about, but doing the wrong thing or something bad can be fun!!

Sin! The Word of God says:
Romans 7: 18-20
For I know that in me (that is in my flesh) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find I don't know how to do.
For the good that I would want to do I don't do: but the evil which I would not (should not) do... that's what I wind up doing.
Now, if I do those things that I would not (should not) it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
I find then a law, that when I would do good, evil is present with me.
Romans 8: 3 &4
What the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
II Corinthians 5: 17
Therefore, if any man be in Christ he is a new creature old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

yep...we're only human. Often, too, we think we're doing the right thing....but it ends up being wrong. I guess, we should just always try to do what we feel is best at the time. Whether we end up right..or wrong... in making that decision, we have to live with it. The positive that comes from that is: we learn from it.

Human nature. It's natural to want what we can't have or what society thinks we shouldn't have. Also sometimes a person doesn't have enoguh will power to not do the wrong thing. But it doesn't neccesarily make you a bad or evil person, its just a person doing bad or evil things. But then there are some naturally evil or bad people out there.

We do seem to get dumber as we get older. We should be better able to handle loneliness, navigate more smoothly all the various hurts we receive and just be stronger at achieving balance. Yet we don't.
Part of it is unrealistic expectations. We want to learn how to play the guitar NOW not in a few years. We want sex but without consequences. If we begin to shake out the heresies and faulty paradigms we'd all probably be better people.
Well that and if we got rid of our tvs. Advertising is evil.

Doing the wrong thing shows lack of self-control. Wanting the wrong thing (in my opinion) shows dissatisfation with what you already have.

Exactly - we're human. We are born to choose the wrong thing even when the right thing is right in front of our faces.
