.......... Sometimes I thank God for unanswered prayers
Remember when you're talkin' to the man upstairs
That just because he doesn't answer doesn't mean he don't care
Some of God's greatest gifts are unanswered prayers

You know when I look back upon my life God has always answered all my prayers that were lined up with His will.

However some of those other selfish ones got answered too however not the way I expected them to be.

Note to Ydoncha: You know I have prayed for some "impossible" things that were in line with God's will and not based on my pride and selfish desires and those prayers too have been answered. When your heart lines up with God's heart, there are no coincidences and there are no impossibilities. But you also have to have faith, because is you doubt you are double-minded and shouldn't expect to recieve anything.

You know, for the longest time I'd pray for stuff and it seemed like total chance that I'd get the prayers answered 'yes'. LIke a lottery ticket. Then I hit on this magicsort of 'closing line' for all my prayers and now my percentage is A LOT higher. That closing line is simply this: or not. Like...god let this cancer pass...or not. I prayed once to stop vomitting once when I'd been drinking waaaaaaaaaay too much and added that little line in there (God let me stop vomitting...or not) and sure enough I hurled one, no...two more times that day. It's the power or prayer and it's wonderful.

Yes! They are always answered according to God's plans, which are far better than I could imagine! It is funny how things turn up, when at the time you are wanting it to go a certain way, and when it doesnt, you look back and praise God, because you realize that He was in control all along and did what was best for you! I love seeing God work that way....He too has answered prayers of things we needed- and never fails to meet our needs and take care of us- Praise Be To HIM!!!

COINCIDENCE. nothing more.

Try praying for something impossible. Like world peace existing. Or an amputee regrowing a limb. Wont ever happen. Know why?? Cuz God is imaginary.

All my prayers are answered to - when I feel like getting off my own dufff and taking care of them.

No they aren't. But many did get answered. And finally it turned out to be right for the ones that weren't answered. God knows whats best for us.

Mine are always answered too, although I may not particularly like the answer at the time.

You mean with a "yes" or a "no"?

You mean it's the same as not praying at all?

Yeah, I do the "not" praying thing and get the same results.
