My friend is 22 or 23 & she's going out with a guy that is 17.

It depends on the local laws. But frankly, cases of older women and younger men almost never get prosecuted, unless the boy is really young.

If the age of consent is 18 in your area, then it is possible, I guess, for there to be a problem, especially if his parents have a problem with the relationship.

Depends on the state where they live. In my state the age for a minor is under 16.

depends on the state- here in NC age of consent is 16, so she wouldn't be in any trouble. Tell her to check out her local laws though just to be safe.

YEA!!! u better believe she can get in a lot of trouble because he is still a minor!!! its not good at all... maybe for them... but i wouldnt post it on yahoo asking about it. maybe you should take it down...
