Dreams are the way your mind subconciously deals with stressful situations or a group of stress that is combined.

If you cry in your sleep it probably is a good thing. Its better to do it in your sleep than during the day when something else stressful hits you and you break down.

In the meanwhile, try self help techniques such as finding what is stressing you out or repressing. 'Set down and make a list of all the stress form your job, family, school, social activities etc.. and find the things that upset you the most that you deal with.If you find out what theese are and deal with it on a concious level, you will feel better not only during the night but out at night time also.

I also have had reoccuring nightmares that were symbolic of things going on in my life that didnt make any sense, but when I faced the "monster" in my dream the dreams went away and I felt like the weight of the world had lifted from my shoulders and had a better outlook on life. I still dont know what it meant, but I know it made me feel better.

Try and change the outcome of the dream. Dont just cry. Attack the thing that is causing you the crying. Yell at it, scream at it or confront it on some way. It will make you feel better if nothing else.
Hope this helps.

I don't have any websites to offer you but I know that I used to go through this too. Eventually I got over it, but you may be going through some serious strong emotional issues right now. I know that I went through this right after I lost my grandmother. I'd wakeup crying and sometimes I couldn't remember what I dreamed....I also had an overall feeling of a loss and would wake up very sad....I think it was due to the emotional stress I was under. Once I worked through the loss that I had suffered and the fear of any more losses, I stopped. Perhaps you can figure out if you have some "concerns" that might be on your mind that you are keeping to yourself and may not be sharing with people close to you.

You're not nuts. You have obviously suffered some sort of emotional or physical trauma that is trying to fight it's way out through your subconscious. See your doctor immediately. Be totally honest about what you have been experiencing and he/she can refer to the best course of treatment to get to the bottom of what is going on.

Stop worrying about "why" you're doing this. Dedicate yourself to -creating- something positive and enjoyable in your life, and good people to share your pastimes with. Go to sleep at night thinking about stuff you enjoy doing, people you like being with, and trust that they aren't going to turn against you on a dime.

In short, pay less attention to whatever's got you upset, and spend more of it on something that will matter to you more.

That's really strange, maybe you can see a therapist to find out what's going on.
