Now I realise it is a very stupid question to ask which religion is the best (some may disagree and claim theirs is), but I just wanted to know people's opinions...

The best I can say is to do the research on your own, you need to come to a general knowledge of what the Bible teaches, or what many religions teach for that matter, and make the right decision, hopefully leading you to the truth :)

Hello Friend, All the different religions in this world teach one Common Moral to their followers " Be Good and Do Good".
Every religion tries to make its followers lead an Ideal life.
So no religion is superior or inferior as i said they all trying to teach same thing but in different language, different place, different race.
Look Jesus is not going to be pleased when someone says christianity is the best religion, same with Allah also.
Jesus and Allah are going to get pleased with people when they follow their teachings sincerely and peacefully.

religions are supposed to be guides to help you have a Divine experience. i believe you should find the one that speaks to your heart.

however i would say that many are programs that teach seperatism, righteousness and intolerence.

i would say that spirituality is better than religion, because it doesn't require that you come to God in any particular way- you are there already. it is a just a matter of recognizing this truth and then living it.

All religions suck!! There are no religions that accomplish what they advertise including the Christian religion.

However, Jesus is quite real and religion is NOT the same as having a relationship with Jesus, the living God.

Here is a book that may help you understand this a little better.

You won't get a coheasive response from this question. It all depends what you are looking for in a religion.

As an atheist I can say there are benefits to atheism, equally there are benefits to christianity, or islam.

But in answer to your question I would say Buddhism is the best as its the most respectful and I feel its the best way to find inner peace.

There is only one religion teaching Bible truth, Jesus said you would know them by their fruits. Who are no part of the world, who do not take up arms against their fellow man, who holds closely to God's teachings, who truly have love among themselves and for their neighbors, who go and make disciples of all men, who are hated and persecuted because they are no part of the world, and who preach the Good News of God's Kingdom? Only Jehovah's Witnesses.
