Someone telling me that I shouldn't believe what I believe in just because the "only" way into heaven is by loving Jesus. Or other ignorant stuff. They can't even throw out a bible verse with it. They just get real mad and tell me I'm going to hell.
For the most part I smile and bear it, but I can't stand it when people cherry pick their religion to try and insult me.

There may be those that disagree, but in addition to what was said by Bruce, above, I would say that attacking someone for not holding your beliefs is a form of religious persecution.
In this forum, atheists have attacked Christians, and Christians have attacked atheists, Muslims have been attacked by many, all of these are a type of religious persecution.
Atheists are attacked for their lack of beliefs. I see little difference in this than a Christian or Muslim being attacked for the beliefs they hold.

Persecution takes many forms. From light joking jabs to torture and murderous physical attacks. The objective is all the same though - to somehow discount or put down God. On this forum it most often takes the form of atheistic diatribe or the posting of completely silly questions that have nothing to do with spirituality.

Well, I'm constantly called "not a real Christian" because I don't read the Bible & I don't think that being gay is a sin.
