Hi!

I work/ride on a school bus all day long. We encounter road crews working hurriedly in some areas and taking forever in others. Seemingly the work is about the same. Why do some sites get left alone for weeks while others "zip" right to conclusion?
Thanks!

well, when our neighborhood was undergoing a "street by street" upgrade of sewer, water, sidewalks, drives, etc...involving gaslines, new front yard sizes, etc...some streets were done in a month and others were left undone for months! What kind of holdups are there? One school yard could not get their tiny little kindergarden playground finished while another school got the same "company" trucks there everyday until the playground was complete? I'm just wondering what kind of hold ups there are in this type of work. Thanks!

There are many reasons that range from problems with the design, the conditions (poor soil, frost) to weather, to manpower, to mistakes made by the contractor- the list goes on!

It might look like the same job but I am sure there are differences you can see from a speeding bus.
