Does anyone have any reliable scam-free solutions to fixing credit? I am broker than broke, and want to start fresh

Go to the bank......ask a teller if there is someone there that can help you with your problem..........they will refer to someone that can help you balance your budget!! Or show you how to get out of dept!!

Learn about money. Pick up "The Richest Man in Babylon" and/or "Think and Grow Rich" in the personal finance section of your local bookstore/library. (They're both under $10 a piece, but priceless!)

Read them. Then -read- them. Then go out and try. Practice makes perfect. It does help (essentially) to make more money than your living costs, though. And that might mean going a year without a cellphone, or something like that.

You could also try looking/searching for free financial workshops in your area to learn more.

Most banks or credit unions offer a Financial Counseling or a Budget Planning service to help you with your debt or even to create and achieve minor savings plans....And a lot of them do it for free since you are a customer or member of the institution.
