Pinnacle 9 is a good basic editing package that works well on ME so long as you have enough space, power, and speed with your hardware.

Change your OS! Use 2000, use xp, heck use linux, but dont use ME! Face it, you know its a worthless system. All software coming out now supports either Xp, 2000, and/or OSX, but increasingly less software is created for ME. Sooner or later, youll have to upgrade; why not do it before you have a ton of video files on your system? Think about it. And while I'm at it, Adobe premiere elements is a great beginners editing system, although I'm pretty sure it doesnt support ME. Hope this helps, and have fun upgrading ;-)

Photoshop should work, i do some video editing too, but i dont have Windows ME but im pretty sure that would work, give it a try.
