How can I get my 3½ year old son (my youngest of 3) to willingly use the toilet. If I put him on it he will use it, but he won't go on his own. He is in pre-k and the only one that won't use the toilet there either

Keep him around other kids that do and he'll soon be embarrassed to be the only kid in diapers. They'll start teasing him soon.

Talk to him. At three he's definitely old enough to understand that everyone except babies, uses the toilet.

Make potty time a regular event 5-7 times a day so that he sits on it at the same time (after getting out of bed, after breakfast, before leaving for school, before lunch, as soon as you get home, etc).

Don't shame him, just show him, lovingly, that he's big enough to do what his older siblings do. Also keep a close eye for signs that he needs to go (crossing legs, holding himself, fidgety, etc) and tell him that now is the time to go to the potty. He probably just gets too involved in whatever he's doing to notice that he has to go. With a little help, he'll get it quick.

I would suggest bribery with my girls I gave them M&M's when they used the potty. You should also about 1/2 hour after he drink something putting him on the potty until he goes. My girls would not go for the longest time and on day I could tell that one of them need to poop she sad on the toilet for about 10 min holding it before she finally we and has not had an accident since

Play "sink the cheerio". Drop a few cheerios in the potty and let him "aim" and sink them. Little boys love this, it's like a game. Eventually, he'll go without the cheerios.

constantly remind him to use the toilet but don't follow him to the toilet. this would build up his confidence and he will soon learn that you don't have to take him to the toilet.

Get his favorite character, (spongebob, batman, elmo, etc.) and buy the underwear. Tell him that if he pees on "Batman", he will get mad. This majically worked for my son! Good luck!
