I would want to because my daughter who is 21 is partying and throwing her life away. Drugs, cancer, Drinking, Ect Ect. I would do this so I could send them away to rehab and they would have to stay. Trying to save her life !!!!

You can keep custodety of chlidren as long as you want but i think if you tried to do that she would scream

You can't keep custody of your children until 25. I don't know why you'd want to, if you raise them right they'd be ready to be on their own long before that.

If you are having trouble like drugs and stuff with her you can go to court and TRY to get her into rehab.

Once they are 18 they are free and clear of parents.

Ummm.... Why? They are a legal adult at 18. Medically, alot of insurance carriers will still cover the child as long as they live at home and attend college full-time. If they are mentally disabled, check with an attorney about extending your legal guardianship. I guess it really depends on WHY you want it extended.

You can't unless they are declared mentally incompetent. Why would you want to? I'm 24 and my husband is 23. Our fourth wedding anniversary is this January and we are very happy together. I wouldn't want my parents or in-laws to have custody over us or our two children.
