This was just posted in response to a question about the origins of Christians:
"Pagans should all be executed. The lies of these Devil worshipers are appauling!"
How can Christians claim they are a peaceful religion - and attack Islam so vehemently - when they have members who would actually assert that people like me should be executed?!

kingstubborn - that is why I said WHEN THEY HAVE MEMBERS. When was the last time a Wiccan or Pagan asserted that all Christians should be executed?! And is that your defense for someone who says we should be executed?!

Yes, that is appalling!
2 Peter 3:9: "Jehovah is not slow respecting his promise, as some people consider slowness, but he is patient with YOU because he does not desire any to be destroyed but desires all to attain to repentance. 10 Yet Jehovah’s day will come as a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a hissing noise, but the elements being intensely hot will be dissolved, and earth and the works in it will be discovered.'
Isaiah 2: 4: " And he will certainly render judgment among the nations and set matters straight respecting many peoples. And they will have to beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning shears. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, neither will they learn war anymore."
The Bible teaches us to be peacemakers, not vigilantes!

Every religion, minus Islam, preaches a philosophy of moderation. The people who detailed the dogma of any given religion realised early on that the over-zealous will eventually become fanatical. As pontiffs and monoarchs begin to seek power and blind obedience, the nature of worship gradually came to the acceptance in fact the cultivating of radicalism. Which is why Christianity and Islam have fallen so far from the teachings of Jesus and the Prophet.
Believe what satisfies you, but people should never come second to any religiousity. For if "They will know you are christians by our love" spouting off hatred and distain in that manner only serves to make people like myself further convinced that agnostism/athieisim couple with fact and rational thought are the correct paths for our lives. However I do understand the role religion plays cultural life and therefore accept it as a neccasary evil and live in toleration of it.

Please remember that Just because someone calls themself a Christian does not make them one.
God is LOVE and does not condone HATRED for others.
Christ came to seek and to save those which are lost.
All people all nations, Revelation 7:9--- After this I (meaning Paul in his vision of heaven) beheld, and, lo a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues (languages) stood before the throne, and before the Lamb (Jesus), clothed with white robes, and palms (Leaves) in their hands;
Revelation 22:14 Blessed are they which do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
Yes, I agree that whoever said that is appalling and IF they believe themselves to be a Christian they had better study their Bible and repent of those attitudes.
We all have the gift God is offering, all we have to do is accept it and obey God.
A Christian in Pa.
Since the attitude of whoever wrote that probably will not allow themselves to apologize for their words. I will say I am sorry that they wrote them. They are doing Christianity so much harm with that attitude.

If the person is equating pagans and Islam, then he is showing his ignorance. While I am not Muslim, I do not know that it is not a pagan religion. Either the person is ignorant, or he is someone posing as a Christian saying inflammatory things. Ignore him.
(And I am giving you the benefit of a doubt that you have not edited or taken out of context their statement).

well for one, I didn't see anyone post that and I don't believe anyone that says that in all seriousness is christian. Are you so gullible as to think that everyone who professes christianity in here are christian?
murder is not a christian tenet. No one should say a group should be executed. How horrible! I'm sorry if someone said that about you or the group you identify with. That is certainly not what the vast majority of christians think. You don't want to be clumped together negatively and neither do we so please don't judge all christians by what some lame brain in here says that professes christianity.

They also went about crusades in past centuries. "Holy" wars for money, greed, power and land. Executed thousands or even tens of thousands of women for being free thinkers, and those of other religions. Enslaved people. They rape, pillage and murder just as much as any other "religion" yet won't own up to what they've done because they "cherry pick" what they want to believe out of their precious bible and can't accept the fact that some of that stuff is outdated because it was made for life nearly two thousand years ago.
But you shouldn't take what they say to heart.
As I've said before. Christianity as a religion is okay with me. It's the followers and what they do with their so called faith and what they do in the name of their so called faith, that I can't stand.
I also say report anyone who says that. It's perfectly allowable, they're using epithets and slurs.

It's not only Islam that they attack. They have an equal animosity toward any other religion that they don't understand. I just say wait and see what happens at the end and until then...leave it alone.

And you take every crackpot's comment as overall position? If you do that for Christians, then Islam must also be in the same boat. We don't make 'em take a test to be in the club, after all, so someone can call themself a Christian, doesn't make it so.

That guy does not know what Pagans are or what they believe. He is ignorant and brainwashed and it's people like him that cause conflict. I see MANY christians on here that claim we worship satan..they are hateful people that made satan up in their own image.

Hypocrisy is far to often the core of so called Christians belief structure. It is sad. These are the people that need to be prayed for.
