Wasn't sure if MDF warped if painted wothout primer. What else should be done to prepare it for (sparay) paint.

MDF is not really that absorbent, but you should probably prime it anyways.

Yes, in my experience you have to if not the next paint you will put won't absorb the it even in spray paint and it will it a good quality.

Yes. If you're worried about warping, prime both sides.

I was told to lightly sand it before priming it. Give it time to completely dry before painting.
