Unless you are visiting a 3 or 4 star restaurant that serves posh style pizzas you will find that your local pizzeria or chain restaurant will use a commercially made Alfredo sauce. Go for whatever brand you like such as Ragu. Buy or make your own crust. If you opt to make ur own, try this: http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/recipes/recipe/0,,FOOD_9936_18843,00.html?rsrc=search
Now that you have the basics (sauce and crust) you want to go for your chicken, herbs, and more cheese. As you know you can buy pre cooked and sliced chicken. If you do not like that try salting and peppering 2 chicken breasts and wrapping in foil. Cook at 400 till done and slice in strips. Some herbs like basil, chives or even some green onion action would be nice for an additional topping. As far as cheeses are concerned I think a mild soft or piquant hard would do. How bout Mozzarella and/or Parmesan? Assemble as follows:
Crust
sauce
chicken
herbs and or onions
cheese
Bake till hot and bubbly. A 500 degree preheated oven should cook this pizza up nicely in about 10-12 minutes. Good Luck!

I make this allthe time, & my fam loves it. I sortof stole the recipe from Papa Murphys...
I use Boboli Thin Pizza crust, Three Brothers garlic alfredo for the sauce. Cube chicken and cook it on the stove top with butter and lots of minced garlic & garlic juice. Top the crust with the sauce, top w/cooked ckicken, cubed fresh tomato, and chopped fresh green onion. I usually a little extra garlic to the sauce too. The trick is the cheese. Use shredded smoked provolone mixed with a little bit of shredded mozzerella. The provolone cheese is so good with the sauce. Cook in the oven at 375 for about 20 minutes. Cook it directly on the oven rack so the crust is crispy.

I cheat and buy ready made pizza crust and jarred alfredo sauce. I rub the crust with olive oil and then sprinkle with garlic powder then put sauce, followed by cheese, chicken, mushrooms and whatever else suits your fancy sometimes I add black olives or spinach. then bake till brown.

Any Alfredo sauce you like works perfect for this.
I make my own crust but you can also buy it.
Just par bake your crust for 15 minutes then top with your Alfredo sauce, sauteed chicken, onions, spinach, leeks, mushrooms, whatever you want. Sprinkle on you favorite cheeses, mine are provolone, mozz., & muenster.
Bake till your crust is golden brown.
YUM !!

INGREDIENTS
SAUCE
4 tablespoons butter
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 dash ground black pepper
4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 cup milk
3/4 cup grated Romano cheese
GARLIC BUTTER
2 tablespoons butter
1 clove garlic, minced
1 pinch dried rosemary (I omit this, because I don't care for that flavor)
1 pinch salt
DOUGH
1 cup warm water
1 (.25 ounce) package instant yeast
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 tablespoon white sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon dried rosemary (again, I omit this)
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
2 boneless chicken breast halves, roasted
1/4 teaspoon dried rosemary (I omit)
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
1/4 teaspoon poultry seasoning
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
DIRECTIONS
To Make Sauce: Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Blend in salt, pepper and flour, then add milk and cheese. Simmer, stirring constantly, until thickened. Remove from heat, cover and set aside.
To Make Garlic Butter: Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Blend in garlic, rosemary and salt. Cook, stirring constantly, until garlic is tender but not browned. Remove from heat, cover and set aside.
To Make Dough: In a medium bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Add oil, sugar, salt and flour. Mix together and knead mixture until a smooth ball forms.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Season roasted chicken with rosemary, thyme, poultry seasoning, garlic powder and salt. Chop or shred and reserve.
To Assemble Pizza: Spread dough out on prepared pizza stone. Top with cooled garlic butter, covering entire crust. Next spread with Alfredo Sauce (if necessary, warm to spreading consistency), leaving crust edges. Top with chicken, turning to coat with sauce.
Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until bottom crust is lightly browned. Remove from oven and let set for 2 to 3 minutes before cutting.
Hey, the poster above and I use the same recipe! The crust is awesome, isn't it?
