The age of consent is different in different states. It is 18 in California, and since you are 18 (adult) and she is 17 (minor), this would be statutory rape. Check the laws in your state.

a condom is good enough, but DON'T PUT IT IN YOUR WALLET because it degrades them. and make sure it doesn't break while you're doing the deed. if it does you'll feel it, pull out and change the condom. if she's on birth control pills then you don't need the condom except if you want STD protection. most young couples use only birth control pills. also you may want to try a condom on before the deed, because well it's kinda hard to put them on and can be embarrassing.
most importantly, have fun! ;) and try not to come too fast.. hold it so you can pleasure her longer. think of your mom or something ;)

OMG i just read the comment from the chick who said"do it when she doesnt have her period" NO NO NO ...Women get pregnant during th emiddle of their cycle ,,,so this info is completely FALSE...YIKES!!
I commend you for thinking all this through..it just sounds to me that you arent ready to take your relationship to this phase yet..and that's perfectly okay...girls arent the only ones who feel pressured to lose their virginity...you need to discuss this w/the girlfriend and just be honest...tell her as soon as you are ready to make the leap she'll be the first to know :) Yes, make sure you use that condom..although the only thing that is 100% effective in preventing pregnancy and diseases is not doing it....tyou havent said "how far" the two of you have gotten so far...there are plenty of other way to show love physically without doing "the deed"...but you still need to take precautions against disease....good luck..it'll all work out as long as you stay true to yourself

You are old enough to understand these things. Use a condom, its safe. Dont get into a physical relationship unless both of you are comfortable and ready for each other. Enjoy !

Yeah, there is a law. You can do hard time if you have sex with an underage person which she is. Until you know how to prevent pregnancy and stay out of jail, leave her alone. The term "jail bait" is not just something someone invented out of thin air.

Can't give advice on the age thing you 2 are so close in age it isn't like shes going to run to the police if she loves you guy, but taking the age thing out of the equation, I am a bit older than you and if I were your age and in your shoes yee hawww, wear protection and use some KY have fun

You do not sound ready for sex at all, and if she dumps you b/c you wont have sex then she isnt good enough for you anyway...you take that step when you dont have any doubts or you will regret it....condoms can sometimes break esp, if they are not put on right....like I said if you arent ready then too bad for her
