It seems that every time I see some news interview or show or sporting event where something goes well for someone, he/she often thanks his/her God. When things don't go well or as hoped... what happened? Never hear about their God then... I find that odd.

I know this is probably an old saw, but hey -- I did a search of the knowledge base and couldn't find this question already in here, so I figured I'd give it a shot.

Actually in my experience most of us believers do. It's less loud, because there is less of the excitement that comes with achieving a given goal, and you are less likely to see it because the most immediate media coverage goes to the "winner".

I thank God for sun and rain, for hot and cold, for health and sickness, for joy and pain, for life and, when it comes, for death.

I freely admit that it may be difficult to acknowledge and thank God when things don't go "our way". But we are children, and what child has not pouted in the midst of what he our she thought was parental mistreatment, only later accepting that "Father" knows best.

God bless you.

Agony is where wrong enters the spirit so we feel it and struggle till defeat emotionally can't be free from the compiled garbage and its then we lift our eyes to remember god as a savior because Positive and negative must repel to give decision.

Many of these people don't understand the growing and learning opportunity that is being offered to them through a loss. The only see the negative aspect of it.

Blessed be!

God is a symbol of hope. God is (in our minds) something good, something or someone who will help u, something u can rely on . Why thank God when something bad happens ??? bad things are supposed to be caused from evil spirits not from the holy spirit of God. it s simple! isn t it ? simple logic !

They should - in everything give thanks. Even the things we don't understand or think are bad. God works all to the good for those who love and know Him.

I do .!!

GOD HAS MY PERFECT PLAN in His hands.
"Losing" only makes me stronger--because I know God carried me through that and I learn not to do it again.
I look to God as my peacegiver--He rests my soul, you know, my heart, and my thinking, and He picks me up when I am down.
HE'S JUST ALWAYS THERE!!
And I tell Him thank you for that , too!!

They don't thank Him because they are ticked off that they lost. BooHoo. I have never heard anyone say thanks God for losing. Ha ha, next time you and I flop out lets remember this one.

Hahah, it's a great question. I'd love to see a football player, just ONCE say "We'd have WON too! If JESUS hadn't made me fumble!"
