Who will join my rebelion?
And lets not forget that our children will be sent to the Jesus camps, they will have to recite the pledge of the bible right next to their wierd christian pledge of allegence.
Do you want attending bible camps part of the school field trips?
As americans we have the freedom to rebel against the unjust, if the evangelicals get their way we will be in a radical christian country! And I for one will not stand for that! WHO'S WITH ME!

religious freedom means that we get to practice or NOT practice according to our own personal beliefs.
i am atheist.
my best friend is theist.
we equally have a right to the "religious freedom" of one another. it SHOULD not favor one of us over the other. it should blanket us both under the same privilege! because it IS a PRIVILEGE...be thankful that you have the freedom to argue such a suggestion. be thankful that you are not oppressed, and forced to practice a belief you do not agree with.
i am thankful EVERY DAY that i can say out loud, that i am proud to be an atheist. and i respect my best friend's ability to say also that she is proud to be a christian, and she respects me.
bickering among ourselves, name calling, throwing religion or atheism/agnosticism, in each others faces and finger pointing solves NOTHING.

I will stand for religious freedom and separation of church and state. True I am atheist now but I was a christian for most of my life, and I would have stood for it then too. You can't force people into religion! It is a personal choice.
I don't see how anyone could support integration of religion in public schools, or stand against religious freedom. It may suit a certain religious group at the time, but what happens when a different group gets in power? The whole national religion would change!

human beings believing in God is a delusion. in case you seem at each man or woman in all of human historical past, very few actual have self belief in God. So, this isn't any longer only a count of separation of church and state. it particularly is a separation of church and human beings. hence, particular, non secular freedom IS a delusion.

Freedom of religion/conscience is one of our most valuable freedoms. It's at the very heart of freedom of choice and one's ability to pursue happiness, which our founders declared to be a natural and inalienable right. Most of the founding fathers were men of faith, but they also clearly believed faith to be a personal matter that should be decided individually, according to one's conscience. I am not religious, but I would not presume to tell a religious person that he cannot worship in any way he sees fit, so long as he does not harm another or try to force his preferences on others. Those evangelicals who are trying to make their intolerant brand of Christianity the de facto religion of the United States are a danger to us all, even their fellow Christians. I believe they must be opposed. I would fight and die to keep this a free nation, where no one--not the government or any religious group--has the right to dictate what religion everyone must follow, what everyone must or must not believe, or how they must worship.

Its not separation of church and state: but, separation to a government run church and state .. like some countries have. And no we are not like everyone else. Where we have a right to voice our opinions openly ... that is why we live here .. or would you rather live in a country that has no rights for anyone to include you who do not believe.

Things will remain the same. There will be new bashing on another group sometime soon. You really do need to travel a bit more outside the US. You've got it pretty good here.

If America ever gets to that level I will move.
It will be no longer my home and I will have no reason to fight for it.

You have no grounds to say Christianity is unjust. If anything, teaching a child to pray and worship some stupid tree out in the yard is unjust. That tree, nor anything on this rock can help,or save that child.
Repentance to Jesus Christ is the only thing that is going to save anyone on this planet.
