Got your attention didnt I !!!

GE 30:37 Jacob, however, took fresh-cut branches from poplar, almond and plane trees and made white stripes on them by peeling the bark and exposing the white inner wood of the branches. 38 Then he placed the peeled branches in all the watering troughs, so that they would be directly in front of the flocks when they came to drink. When the flocks were in heat and came to drink, 39 they mated in front of the branches. And they bore young that were streaked or speckled or spotted.

Why did the sheep become spotted?

hold on while i try to believe that to be true....

cmon those are just stories, none of them are any more true then a fairy tale.

anyhow, if christians are the sheep and jesus is the shephard, if we do that, and pull the bark exposing the inner wood, and then place it in the christians water, will they mate and produce streaked or speckled or spotted offspring? lol

hmm is that why some have freckles?

Its just a story from the Bible that shows the limited understanding of science that the people of the time had. Further proof that the Bible is not scientific in its descriptions of events nor should be looked to for scientific facts. Something I see way too many people in today's society advocating.
