i know my man isnt cheating but he enjoys flirting with other girls by texting. why is this? i do everythingin the bedroom, so i know its not that, he is always at home, but the messages bother me. stupid sluts! help me, breakin up is not an option, how do i get him to stop! sometimes he just ignores them and they stop on their own. plz help me!!

Poor naive girl. I love this line "sometimes he just ignores them and they stop on their own". It like you think they are after him. Like he is some kind of poor little innocent victim here. Yeah right. Answer me this, how do these girls get his number in the first place? HE GIVES IT TO THEM. Duh.

Some people are just flirts. They feel better when they can still get positive feedback from the opposite sex.
If he's just flirting, it's ok. There's no reason to even consider breaking up. There's nothing really wrong with flirting and chatting. It's kinda like a role playing video game, as long as it stays text or chat, it's not real. Once he start putting actions behind those comments...then it's time to worry.

Tell him hey this bothers me, thats your reality and he has to be able to deal with it.
Now listen closely here, if you loves you he will just say ok and not make excuses or try to get you to understand. If he rants and raves about why and him this and him that then breaking up might become an option. It shows he's not willing to do what it takes to keep you happy. This is one of those situations that will tell you down the road what type of man you will have.
A man that is still himself but does what he can to ease your security, or a man that does what he wants regardelss to how you feel. It always starts as a small meaningless situation then down the road you see that it was a very large piece to your relationship.

Flirting with girls makes a man feel desirable and attractive. It boosts self-esteem. That's the reason. Even old married men (like me) still like a good flirt! And we're happy when women still wanna flirt with us.

Yea, I agree with the above answer. It's no sleight on my wife, but we all need it. My wife does it all the time, I feel secure enough and trust her immensely, so it's no biggy.
I'm sure if you relax a little and start too he'll probably slow down with it.

It's just a way to release tension. Maybe he's afraid to tell you what he'd really like in your sex life. Maybe he has a fetish that he's too embarassed to tell you about, but can do so with a stranger on line.

Let him know that it hurts you to see him doing this. If he loves you and understands you then that should be enough. If it doesn't work, fight fire with fire. Maybe when he realizes how much it bothers him, he'll stop!
