My xbf was constantly calling me and coming to my door in the middle of the nite leaving notes.He knew there was a no trespass warrant out on him, but ignored it.I went and got another one and they arrested him.How serious are these charges?There is a court date set for January.

They're not that good. The no tresspass could make a judge angry. Judges tend not to like it when people dont listen to them. It really depends on what got him the warrant in the first place as well as how badly he upset the Judge that wrote it.

Criminal trespassing is a misdemeanor, it's slim to none that he will do any jail time. A fine is a high probability. Why didn't you seek a protection order ? Make sure that you attend the hearing in January as to you are the only States witness.Good luck.

The no trespassing and harassment aren't that bad - but a lot of states have laws against stalking, and those generally aim to smack some sense into stalkers with jail time.

these are all misdemeanors. he will be out bothering you again in no time. unfortunatley, he will have to hurt you bad or kill you for them to actually do anything about it.
