Biblically it's understood that nobody can predict when the end will come upon us. So wouldn't it make sense that since every year some nut predicts the end times, rapture or whatver god might push it back because he doesn't want it to be predicted?

Do you mean like "a watched pot never boils"? lol
I get kind of tired or Christians trying to predict what God said nobody would know.

Well, the Jews are migrating back to Israel everyday as we speak. That's a prophecy being fulfilled.Coincidence?I Israel became a state in 1948.That too was prophecy fulfilled.Iran(Persia) and Russia will join together in an attempt to wipe out Israel.Wonder why Iran is in such a hurry to get the big bomb? That war may be the war of Ezekiel chapter 38.Coincidence?

Right now is extremely different from all the other times.Everything is almost in place.Jesus said he would not come back until all the Jews are back in Jerusalem. The prophetic time table tells believers that the time of the gentiles is over. That is another prophecy fulfilled.Coincidence?

As our lives become more like Christ we "speed his coming".

2PE 3:11 Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives 12 as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming. That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat. 13 But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, the home of righteousness.

I guess I dont think that God plays those kind of games. It will come when it comes and no one can predict it. There is no truth more fixed and dependable then God's faithfulness. Settle it in your mind that God's nature is not just a story of how he acted in one circumstance. God is the Lord and God doesn't change.

I doubt if it would work that way. even if someone was lucky (or whatever) and picked the right day, I doubt it would have the way they thought besides just how many followers do you think they would have in the grand scheme of things. I don't care if I was thought convinced that the world would end 5 minutes from now I would still shock the crap out of me if it did. Besides I doubt gives out a special prize if someone gets it right.

Nobody know the time of the end. Jesus left us with a few signs. You can find them in Matthew chapter 24, Mark 13, Luke 21. Just to name a few places to find a few signs.

I believe it will happen as soon as we achieved the fullness in global evangelism

Matthew 24:14 "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come."

I think even those who think its very close (me included), will be unprepared and shocked when it happens anyways. We may say we expect it, but we will still be very suprised.

To CRAZY GIRL: I find it the height of idiocy to state as fact something that you cannot prove. Thats not FACT hun, that is called SPECULATION.

God already knows when the day will be because He has scheduled it. What people do won't have much influence on when it will be.

God knows when He is going to do it.
We can guess all we want, but it does not mean that is when He is going to do it.
