To answer the question, the best resource I have found is here:
http://www.ahmf.org/ME%20CFS%20Overview.pdf
Okay, this may annoy people and make the rate this down, but I don't care.
M.E. is NOT Chronic Fatigue Syndrome! There is not enough research being done to prove or disprove that they are the same, but if you have M.E., you would never call it CFS. The most recent research (and stated by the World Health Organization) is that M.E. is a neurological condition. Ever wondered why one minute it is caused by a virus, the next it is a bad vaccine, etc? Because they are not the same condition. Why some people get better and others don't? Why some people have different symptoms (although that has taken me years to start to figure out)?
I am no doctor, but I have been left for the last 10 years with only a diagnosis; no help, no explanation, no reason. I have spent the last 10 years of my life investigating, reading, thinking, etc. And I have seen many doctors and not one of them knows more than I do about M.E.
7 years ago, I said it was neurological and that is now what they say it is. And now I am saying that one day it will come out that the reason there have been no strong advancements (apart from a lack of research) is because they are lumping TWO medical conditions into ONE.
Seriously, to everyone that replied and said CFS, why not look into the neurological factors of what they call M.E/CFS and then look at the percentages of patients displaying these symptoms (when the WHO class it as neurological) and tell me one reason that would be if it were not two conditions that were classed as one?
I don't mean to offend anyone, but it annoys me that the public are misinformed about these conditions.

Hello,
ME is one of those medical diagnosis which covers a number of symptoms of something called "chronic fatigue syndrome". ME is thought to be the result of a viral infection which attacks the immune system and leaves people constently exhausted (no or very low energy levels). Its often been described as a bad dose of the flue but which cannot be shaken off.
**I dont know if there are any specific treatments for ME? but I did know someone with ME who worked alot with fasting, juicing and a very careful organic diet and he said it did make a noticable difference to him.

M.E is known as Myalgic Encephalomyeltis, i have had this illness for a good number of years now,one day you can be fine the next you can feel your gonna die,its a horrible thing to have,
you get so tired, cant walk far, cant stand up for long, want to sleep all the time, dizziness, pains everywhere.that's just half the problems,
its a horrible illness to have but you need to keep pushing yourself to do things, you cant let the illness win you over,or you can end up in hosp in a wheelchair etc.
it has a scale if your under 30% your very ill,
hope you haven't got this,
a lot of people and even doctors do not believe in this.
take care

Also known as chronic fatigue syndrome, it involves feeling ill or very tired constantly.Joint pains and sleep problems are also among the symptoms.
The causes are unclear, but some blame it on bouts of viral infections, a major episode of stress or trauma, or vaccinations.

I m asking the question,,, it seems to be the case that not enough research has been published to clarify the source, reason and the agreed treatment (cure) has been carried out. Is it not serious enough or is it a question of lack of finance for research ??

she's right, Chrinic fatigue syndrome.
It's caused by an overprosuction of yeast in the body.
It causes weaknes, fatigue, loss of energy mostly with depression.
The psychlogical or psychosomatic side of it (in my view) is caused by someone or something in the person's life placing huge burden's or responisiblities on the person (or dumping all their responsiblities on them) which naturally drains all their energy.
