More and more observations that do not support a "God" cannot be ignored by everyone.

Atheism has increased dramatically in the last few decades because of the era changing from the age of the Pisces to the age of Aquarius we are experiencing the first stages of rebirth from everything to religion to sex. have u noticed how the homosexual world is becoming more and more popular and women sexuality is now free and open. With religion the world will discard the old and begin something new. this is a scientific cycle that the ancient Mayans had pinpointed it is very interesting. Alot of people are not really atheist, i think that they just have a problem with believing in the old GODs of the world. most of them believe (like me) that there is a god that is not intelligent or physical it is just there and has nothing to do with the creation on the ending it is just there. With ongoing religious wars in the world (that includes the Iraq thing because we are trying to spread Christianity there) what can you believe with all the sides which is right. how about none or all. maybe just believing in something is right or wrong science will never prove anything of the sort.

basically, the industrial revolution gave people more free time so that they may do other things besides work... like... become educated. A 1991 Gallup survey found that college graduates were less than half as likely to believe in creationism as those lacking a high school diploma. Likewise, those with an income greater than $50,000 per year were half as likely to be creationists as those with an income under $20,000. In 1997 Gallup reported that 5 only percent of scientists believed in creationism.

Sadly, we have become a nation of greed and pleasure and lust. We have forgotten morals and where we came from. To many kids have been left to defend for themselves while parents cry out the names Jesus and drag their kids to church with out trying to have a relationship with their kids outside of church. To many people have been hurt by "perfect" Christians and have come to careless about God and Christians because of how they act. Sadly there are churches out there that aren't teaching the truth about God and that turns so even further from who God is. The government (which is supposed to be separate from the church) has started to have too much say in what the church does causing the church to contradict itself. There is too much going around on whether this or that is truth when it comes to God and too many have been hurt by those who are supposed to show an example of who God is and so people have turned from it all together. It is very sad. I work with teens in a city, it would break your heart to hear the stories and see the faces and know why they hate God.

Actually it's a myth that it has. In the U.S. Christian churches are still growing.

This is why people misunderstand: our population worldwide has exploded in past decades, as has that of the U.S. So there are more people, and proportionately more aetheists. But the percentage of aetheists has NOT increased.

Also, through centuries, religious practice waxes and wanes, usually according to how easy or difficult life is. To wane for a decade or two is nothing in the grand scheme of time. . . As the danger in our world increases in coming decades, you will likely see a steady increase in all religious practice.

What all this means is: don't let uneducated "Aetheists" sell you their bill of goods. It isn't based on much fact. :)

I'm not 100% it has. As far as i know we have left religion, but not for atheism, but rather to be spiritual. Personally i believe in the bible, but i don't believe every thing it teaches is real. To many people have had there hands on it for everything to be true.

I believe all religions have a little of the truth. But if what you say is in fact true, i side with you. It sucks.

Because People are turning away from God and Parents are NOT teaching their children about God and His Son. The Bible should be read in every household everyday.

It only takes one generation of children not to KNOW GOD and the plan of Salvation., and the world is lost. BECAUSE. If your kids do not know the TRUTH HOW CAN THEY TEACH THEIR CHILDREN AND SO ON AND SO ON. It is every parents Christian duty to raise their children in the Lord.

Jesus is going to come again , we know not when, but He will come as a thief in the night, WE are to be always Prepared.

It makes me very sad also to see how many people profess not to believe in Our Holy Father.

We can accept Him and He will accept us,....OR....We can reject Him and He will reject us. It is totally our choice to accept God's gift of eternal life in heaven. All we have to do is obey His commandments.

People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God -- having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them. (2 Timothy 3:1-5).

But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare. (2 Peter 3:10 ).

I think that more and more people are looking at religious institutions these days and seeing how fallible and even corrupt they are. These leads them to consider if all these religions claim to be established by a Divine Force, then how can they be doing these things and believing these things in the name of a Force that claims it is Ultimate Love. This leads to questions about the role of Diety in religions or even spiritual life and many people find it easier to believe there isn't a Diety at all than to believe that there is one who lets all this injustice and cruelty continue to exist and grow.
