Iam thinking of places to take a girl on a date in london. I had thought that the Tate Modern would be really nice or coffee in Covent Garden. or Ice Skating at Clarence House. What would you lot recommend....?

something fun...like ice skating is a good idea. Fun things make the date seem alive.
Coffee is boring. Keep things interesting and fun so she'll want another date. After you go ice skating then maybe simmer down for some coffee and talk

I would say coffee. Save the ice skating for a few dates later. Interesting is better for me. I would personally love to go ice skating, but for the first date, you should just go to lunch!!!

Can you split the diffference? Tate first, coffee and skating later? (both are very nice suggestions, so either would work)

Both. Be unpredictable. Do something spontaneous.
