YES IT IS! children all grow at different rates, and she is normal for a 15th month, in fact that's pretty good to know all those things. Forming a full word clearly will happen at about 2.3 months, generally(these are just guideline, if it happens before or afterwards, it still okay) to help her speech along make sure you giving her the words she needs, If she's poing to a clock let her know it's a clock and try to be as detailed as possible. Also use regular speech not baby speech, because they will regurgitate what they hear and learn!

my oldest son couldn't pronounce the "ter" at the end of words... hellicopter was "hellicopie" and he had a slight lisp... monster should have been "monsie" but instead came out sound like "nazi." Try to explain that one when your child asks you if he can shoot nazis when he isn't even 2 years old, lol.

If it's still there by age 3, most pediatricians will ask you to work with them, at home, and they'll give you some exercises to do. If that doesn't work when they get to preeschool (or headstart), generally the school will enroll them in speech classes. 2 of my 4 nieces are in speech for trouble with pronouncing. Just work with your daughter, she'll get the hang of it.

Congratulations, I am so happy to see you don't use baby talk with her. This irritates me with other parents. It is normal for a toddler not to pronounce their words correctly at first. But keep using correct speech with her and she will get the hang of it. Mention at your next well baby check visit to your doctor about it, he may recommend a hearing check. Ear and hearing problems can run in families. And if it doesn't improve around 3 or 4 years old consult a speech therapist. My children and I had one in early grade school. Lots of Hope to you!!!

Yes, I think it is perfectly normal! I have heard that they won't really start speaking until around two years. My daughter is 21 months, and just starting to speak more words and more clearly. At 15 months she didn't speak near that many words! I think your daughter is doing great! Don't worry, it will come!

Sounds pretty normal. My 20mth old is just now starting to say words more clearly. But sometimes he'll still say ba instead of ball. Every child is different, but if you're still concerned ask your doctor.

She's doing great! When she says a word repeat it back to her with all the letters. She will catch on. I would wait until she's 2 or so to worry about a learning or hearing problem.

Completely. My boy is almost 3 and has a huge vocabulary but still has problems with "L" and "W" and "R". For example "terrible comes ou as "tewwibo". My doctor is also a close family friend and has said this is normal.
Don't fret...just marval at how easily & quickly they will pick & learn new words & phrases.

Sounds normal to me, she's just learning how to talk, you can't expect her to say everything perfectly for some time still. She's doing great.. I don't think you have to worry about any speech problems at this young of an age.

yes, this is fairly normal she is still young and developing her verbal skills. my daughters were the same way. If she doesn't seem to be improving in the next six months or so you might want to have her ears checked. Good luck

My kids did the same but you have to say "not ba... it's ball.... can you say ball.... ball"

You just keep doing this and she will pick it up quick. Do it for all words she says wrong.
