Every time someone asks a question about God, why do they always reply, "there is no god so....." I find it that if you don't know about the subject matter, don't reply.

Although many of them will refute it, Satan would like nothing better than to plant a seed of doubt in believers or cause Christians to act un-Christlike in anger when under attack.

Questions about God are not the only ones answered by people who know nothing about the subject matter. There are tons of other subject related questions that are answered by people who don't have a clue. That's just the chance you take when you ask a question about anything here.
From what I've seen people post both questions and answers here solely to get a rise out of other people.

Could be the way the questions are phrased. Some of them almost seem to want to pull the athiest or agnostics in.

Then there is that immature group that just seem to like to set people off because they can. Ain't anonymity great.

Guess you just have to ignore those answers and focus in on the ones that deal seriously with your subject matter. So I'm trying to learn anyways.

I just wanted to add though that I've seen some "so called" Christians do the same thing too. Answer questions with religious text and flair when the question had nothing to do with R&S. So it works both ways.

Sometimes it almost seems like a game of one upmanship. Someone professing to be from this group answered this way, so now I'll flame their question.

So there ya have it. There are a number of reasons.

Daniel you have a good point, but it cannot be stopped. Also, the believers answer questions from the non-believers in the same manner. I don't think it will stop anytime soon. I can only hope that the answers given are informative and not just "there is no god" or in the other hand "because there is a God and He loves you".

Spirituality and organized religion are not one in the same. All people have some form of belief structure, morals and philosophies of life. All people have some form of "spirituality".
Organized belief structures offer less interpretation and personal expression than alternative, even "homemade" ones. Any question you ask here will have atleast some smart-aleck or know-nothing responses.
The idea of asking a philosohpical question is to gain insight from others. It would be fruitless to ignore all responses from people who believe differently from you.
If you are asking a question about your specific religion, then all I can say is ignore the answers that annoy you.

Probably because they are afraid of what they do not understand. The prospect of a being higher than themselves and of far greater intelligence terrifies them, let alone the Christian idea that if you don't believe you burn forever...that's pretty scary! I believe it's that a part of them does believe and they find this incredibly frightening considering the lives they've led, let alone the lives all of us have led. The idea that they could be forgiven simply by asking seems impossible so they choose to ignore God and hope he goes away!

I think that someone who doesn't believe has a lot better grasp of the subject matter than people who do. Get with the times, it's not the middle ages. Weather phenomena can be scientifically explained, it's not actions of a supreme being.

Probably for the same reason that when a Pagan posts a question about Pagan matters, the Christians chime in with condemnation and quotations from their holy book.

Agreed!

If they are atheists, then stop replying to questions with rude answers that are totally irrelevant.

I think they are fully allowed to think how they want, believe what they want, but for the rest of us that believe in God, just let us be!

its goes both ways... I sometimes feel that when an athiest posts about their beliefs.. some religious folks come ranting about accepting God... that might affend them..
(I myself beleive in God, but just letting you know, this question can be turned)
