I have no "beef" with these people, on the other hand i support them and encourage them to live happy lives in this country. These people work and do jobs most lazy americans won't do, we also pay taxes but your goverment fails to realize that. I understand your need for us to learn english but does it kill you to meet at a half way point, we embrace your boring culture you embrace ours.

Illegal, Illegal, Illegal. What does that word mean? Why would anyone think that there is no such terminology as "illegal immigrant"? , which an earlier writer said.
If you came to this country in an illegal manner, which includes on a visa and it expired and they continue to remain in this country, that is an example of ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION.
Why do we cater to ANY nationality that comes here illegally? When our ancestors immigrated to this land, they took classes to learn English (which may not be our official language - if in fact we do not have an official language), learned about our Constitution, took the test (and passed) and became citizens. Why do some people coddle illegals and stand up for them? If you went to another country and did not follow their procedures for becoming a citizen of that country, what would they do?

The overburdening of our school system. When there aren't enough resources to go around due to not enough taxes being generated (don't tell me illegals pay taxes, they pay sales tax and that doesn't benefit much!) to pay for more teachers and supplies and infrastructure, then ALL of the students suffer. Then only the kids with enough money will transfer out of the public schools and into private, which means that now our school populations are even weaker. When you remove the cream of the crop, then our top performers are only mediocre at best and no one will strive to be better because there is nothing to compare to.
And besides, the only reason people are "illegal" is because they don't feel like filling out paperwork. America is all about paperwork, so get over it!

Illegal immigration has a huge negative impact upon America and contributes significantly to school overcrowding, health care crisis, highway congestion, wage depression, unemployment of citizens, and environmental degradation.
Illegal employers deserve massively more scrutiny and enforcement to combat their employment of illegal workers. Many employment laws such as the I-9 form were designed more to shield corporations from responsibility than to enforce immigration and labor laws for the protection of citizens and this must be corrected. Illegal employers should be considered anti-American, otherwise they would be hiring Americans at a livable wage.
Illegal immigration has resulted in mass lawlessness which creates an ominous double-standard where citizens are expected to obey the law but illegal aliens are not.
Immigration is an issue of limits and lawfulness, not of race and culture. When immigration is viewed only racially and culturally, limits and legality will never be imposed. The debate must focus on limitations and lawfulness, otherwise open borders will make the United States a marketplace and not a country.
Illegal immigration is actually an issue of nationalism, not racism. All countries have the right to protect its borders from those who enter illegally. This means foreign nationals do not have the right to violate immigration laws.
Violating U.S. immigration law is not a human right. The United Nations state; “Every one has the right to leave any country, including his own, and to return to his country.” The human rights proclamation provides global citizens the right of emigration and return to their home country but does not include the right to violate the immigration laws of the host country of their choice.
Illegal aliens should return voluntarily to their home country. Once in their home country foreigners can apply for residency via proper procedures. The American public increasingly is opposing amnesty and the likelihood of future amnesties is declining rapidly.

They are violating the law. I know that many people want to excuse this by saying that they are basically good people looking for a better life and I do not disagree with that. In fact if I were born in Mexico I might be looking for a way across the border myself. However, we are a nation of laws and they must be observed. We should not draw caveats to excuse bad behavior. Either we enforce all laws or we don't enforce any, the character of the lawbreaker should not even be an issue.

If they are illegal, then my beef with them is that their first act upon entering the US was a criminal one. Off to a great start!

That they are here illegally. We have immigration laws, and after asking sunday night, most do not think we need those changed, just enforced. I think what worrys me most is that by coming here illegally, it tells me they have no or very little respect for our laws. After coming here illegally they just keep breaking laws, fake IDs, fake or stolen SS cards.

That they are, simply, illegal. Illegal means breaking the law. If you easily break one, you will break more (which many illegal aliens do). Do we really want lawbreakers in our country . . . more than we have now?
