I thought it was better this morning then when i got to work it has gradually started to hurt again. I am 20 wks pregnant so i can only take tylenol which doesnt seem to work. I have a dr appt. tomorrow but is there anything I can do in the meantime to ease the pain to help me get through work? or does anyone know any good websites with info on this? Thanks for the help!

sounds like a pinched nerve @ the elbow. a pulled muscle is more of a knotted feeling, and a major cramp and then no pain if it snaps. apply heat to the area and also move it as much as you can without hurting urself b/c u don't want it to freeze up on u. but the heat should help the pain and to relax the muscle (assuming it's the muscle and not the bone) that's causing the pinch.

A chiropractor will be your best relief. With that, you do not have to worry about medications with the baby. The Md will be able to free the pinch nerve. Also if your finger tips feel cold at times, you may be pinching some blood supply. He will be able to release that also. You need to be careful with blood supply.
You can also use heat at the area that hurts....it may give you some relief. Do some gentle stretching to release the muscles. Hope this helps

Web MD.... As for simple fixes, alternating heat and ice on the shoulder neck nerve should help. Its what always worked in football for should stingers and that is what it sounds like.

too bad you happen to be pregnant as what you need are muscle relaxers...the best i can offer is to consult a physical thearpist as they can reccomend some stretches that may aleviate the pinching on the nerve.

look for a physical therapist that does manual manipulation, they are way better than a chiropractor! Nothing else to do because of your pregnancy. Good Luck!
