They believe some Hebrews came to America long before we believe, like the Phoenicians and Vikings are known to
have been here.
I read where they were studyng a rock with a language on it.
And a guy came up from the other side of the table and said,
"That's Hebrew!" And they've found Hebrew pottery and stuff.
I can accept that. And they say the Red dudes almost whiped
themselves out with constant fighting! HMMMMM!
As far as what they believe now, EHHHH!!!!!!!

They have their own scriptures besides what Joseph Smith did to the Bible. They believe Cain's curse was black skin. they believe that Jesus married two or three women while on the Earth, that Satan is his brother. That a war in heaven has occurred, that to get Salvation, you must become a God (Paganism) by getting marriade in the temple, getting babtized and various other things, to evolve into this God. They are not allowed to wear a cross. They take the sacrament, but the wine or grape juice is substituted with water. Shall I go on about God being marriade to the Virgin mary???

I would like to take occasion to testify to all that Joseph Smith did restore Christ's church on the earth. He did translate the Book of Mormon by the power and gift of God. The Book of Mormon is another witness that Jesus is the Christ. There is today a living oracle of God, a prophet who recieves revelation as did Moses did for Israel. That man is Gordon B. Hinckley. This is all true. Persecuation and faul speaking of the Mormon church will so continue. Yet despite that, Christ is Christ, truth is truth. And any foundation found with prophets, apostles, and revelation is where Christ's church will be found. This I know indepent of any other person. For any person can know of this truth, if they pray in faith, with real intent. This I testify in the name of him whom's life we commerate this Christmas Holiday, even Jesus Christ, amen.

I lived near the place in upstate New York for a while, where the plates were supposedly found. My mind was boggled when I heard the story.

Whatever you do, IF you REALLY want to know what we believe, go to LDS.org or mormon.org. Don't got to "exmormon" websites, there is a reason they are "ex"...would you go to a Nazi website and hope to find correct information about Jews? I hope not.
In a nut shell, we believe we are all sons and daughters of God, that Christ came to earth to atone for our sins, that we must make and keep certain saving covenants and ordinances to attain the highest level of glory, that we can be with our families and spouse for all eternity if we are faithful to those covenants, that the fulness of the gospel was lost with the apostasy and that it was restored through the prophet Joseph Smith.

They believe that Mr. T (and all other blacks) were not "worthy" to receive the "priesthood" until, in the 1970's, under significant social pressure, the LDS "prophet" conveniently had a "revelation" that the priesthood could now be opened to blacks.
It's a racist religion, not just from societal pressure, but in its own "scripture". They teach that blacks have dark skin because they were cursed for not fighting for truth before this age began.
Sorry, Jibba Jabba, LDS is bad news.

The Truth About Mormonism
Most LDS (This stands for Latter Day Saint, That's what they like to call themselves) won't tell you what the Church believes because it is so bizarre. These strange beliefs are the reason mainline Christians Churches say that Mormonism is a non-christian cult. In the next paragraph I will tell you what they believe and add what the Bible teaches on the subject where appropriate.
Mormons teach that our god is a glorified man. A being of flesh and bone. The Bible makes it very clear that God is spirit. The Mormon god stated out in the great expanse of uncreated space. There in the darkness of a pre-spiritual existence, god the father, Jesus, you, and I will there all equal and co-eternal. Then a god had sexual intercourse with one of his wives and our god was given a spiritual body. He happened to be the first born of this god so he became the savior of this god's world just like Jesus is for our world. He lived, and taught Mormonism to those who would listen to mine. He died just like Jesus did here and if others on that world would repent and be baptized by the Mormon priest there and live to the end of their lives in righteousness they were allow to return to their god. If they didn't measure up they were assigned to other kingdoms that that god has created for them. Kingdoms overseen by their savior (who became our god) and another valiant spirit that was given the office of holy ghost. (What do you think, is this getting complex?) After the end of the world that our god did his mortal ministry on, he was given many worthy females at he could have sex with and thereby create spirit children (us) to send to a world that he created. Oh, by the way these worlds weren't really created they were organized out of the matter available in space (matter is co-eternal with god and can't be created or destroyed). Jesus was the first born of our god and Lucifer the second born (who became the devil). Can you believe this Mormons don't just say that Jesus is our spiritual brother but also he and we are brothers of Satan. Lucifer wanted to force us all to be good and bring us all back to god Jesus wanted to give us freedom to make our own decision. Jesus won this battle and became god the son. Well Mormons believe this process is repeated again and again. It is their goal to live a perfect life through their first principles of their gospel they are:
1. Faith in the Mormon Jesus
2. Baptism by immersion (Done only by their priests)
3. Laying on of hands for the gift of the Mormon Holy Ghost ( Done only by their elders)
4. Repentance ( You have to repent of every sin you commit, You better have a good memory)
5. Enduring to the end of your life in righteousness. Go to step 4 each time to you sin.
Along with this there is marriage in the Mormon temple (You can't become a god without being married). Everyone is also asked to pay a full tithe (Ok they got one thing right) and do volunteer service for the church (They have no paid ministry. That isn't bad either but someone should tell them that pastoring a local christian church is a full time and a half job and it doesn't pay well at all. Men and women that do it are called of God No one would go into that kind of work on their own..

Here's the challenge for all Mormons and for all who really want to know from whence they came: Read the book banned by the Mormon hierarchy, "No Man Knows My History," by Fawn Brodie. It is the definitive biography of Joseph Smith. Fawn Brodie was professor of history, UCLA, raised in Mormon country. Her book tells the truth about Mormonism, and that's why it is black-balled.
