Probably not.

Salmonella cases are almost always discovered through commercial food distributors. Very rarely from eggs consumers buy at the market.

Still, I don't eat raw eggs nor do my children. Pregnant women should never risk it.

Yes, they can contain bacteria like salmonella. If you must eat raw eggs (my son adds these to a protein drink) then by a pasteurized egg product like Egg Beaters.

Eating raw eggs that contain bacteria could make you very ill. See the link below. You may be ok this time around, but don't play Russian Roulette with raw eggs.

If raw eggs would hurt you then why do atheletes put two raw eggs in that protein stuff and drink it down? My son drank two raw eggs that way every single day and never got sick at all. Also, you've eaten raw cake batter or cookie dough, right? More raw eggs there.
