Evolution, Genesis or what?

As I understand it, there are the two main theories of how we got here. One, posed by Darwin, has major flaws with the evolutionary jump from Neanderthal to modern humans. Genesis, well, its a good story.

What is the theory called that centers on humans being dropped here, or landing here? I know one part of it comes from the alleged structures on Mars and I find that fascinating...funny that it is even referenced in Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy...just have never actually heard what it is referred to as.

I'm not asking for opinions on this theory...just reference material.

I think you are thinking of panspermia. It is an argument for the origin of life on earth. However it still requires evolution.

There are questions to be answered by evolution but the link between Neanderthals isn't one of them in the sense you ask it. They were nearly different species, having migrated from Africa at different times. In some senses they may be thought of as the difference between chimpanzees and bonobos. The remaining human population stayed in Africa longer and evolved differently. When they met up later Neanderthals succumbed to evolutionary pressures and became extinct. This does not mean that **** sapiens set out to kill them - evolution does not need a war for a species to die out. Only that Neanderthals had a slightly lower capacity for drawing from the environment. Their numbers dwindled very slowly.

Neanderthal is a separate line. We are not direct decedents. I suggest that you really look at the "problems" before you say things like that.

There are missing pieces in the fossils. Big deal, fossils are hard to make and hard to find. There are a few things that evolution hasn't covered like how it happened so fast at times. That only means that we don't have the entire picture complete with all the details.

The fact is the fossils start simple and get more complicated over long periods of time. The genetics are so similar between us and great apes it is impossible that we aren't related somehow. Any valid theory HAS GOT TO EXPLAIN those two basic facts. Evolution happened somehow.

If Aliens did help it along, they did so by adding pretty small amounts of genetic material.

Please forgive me if this offends you for that is not my goal, nor is it my desire. I am not sure if you are really wanting to understand how we got here between evolution or creation since you seem to take an interest in what Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy says. It would seem that either you find no interest in creation, evolution or maybe you don't fully understand them.

First, chance doesn't exist; therefore, evolution cannot exist, if chance did exist then due to a purposeless arrival of all that is today; then we and all life forms have no purpose to exist; then why do people have such an internal drive to be loved, to be cherished, to have some form of internal fire for living quenched. Chance is a by-word to describe something that we don't understand. The same goes for Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy; if saying that we came from the alleged structures on Mars as humans being dropped here, or landing here; it wouldn't explain how the extraterrestrial beings suddenly or over a time period themselves came into existence. Creation is a historical event that has been recorded and handed down to us. Genesis in Hebrew means Beggining. It is the account of how we came into being i.e. existance. It speaks of a creator whose existence is in Himself; how He by His word spoke us into existence. The Bible can be tested in these three ways: 1. Consistency, 2. Historisticly, 3. Prophetically. 1. No contradictions within the doctrines contained in the text. If taken from non Gnostic manuscripts e.g. Alexandrian texts: Codex Vanicanis; and Codex Siniaticus; these munuscripts were written from knostics who didn't believe in the Diety of Christ; they formed their own opinion rather then just beliving in what the Majority text (Textus Receptus) and many others have written within them; leaving that as is. There is more support for the New Testament than for any other body of ancient literature. Over 5000 Greek, 8000 Latin, and many more manuscripts in other languages attest the integrity of the New Testament... The New Testament is in the Old Testament concealed, and the Old Testament Is in the New Testament revealed. There is much more proofs and facts for the Bible than one could deny. Test it for yourself. Is God real, did He create us with a purpose, how can I trust the stories contained within the Bible? Etcetera. You can trust God's Word. God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life. Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look for His wonderful Grace and the things on earth will grow strangely dim in the light of His Glory and Grace; Grace, Grace, God's Grace, Grace that is greater than all my sin.

Neanderthals are an entirely different species of human and you are not descended from them. We did not evolve from Neanderthals. You may want to study the CURRENT theory of evolution. That’s fine though, most people don’t know a lot about the subject besides the basics.

1st of all the genesis story isn't a theory. 2nd, darwin's theory is not flawed by a lack of evidence. There is undeniable evidence if one cares to look somewhere other than the Discovery Institute or Jerry Falwell's creation museum.
