He is a big shot hair stylist, rising up in the industry. I wasn't working at the time for 6 months. Then when I asked him why we were breaking up, cause this break up was sooooo sudden, one reason was "we're not at the same level."

Does this guy think he is better than me?

It sounds like he's more in love with himself and his career. Don't lose sleep over a cocky guy like that -- do you really think the fact he's now cutting Alec Baldwin's hair makes him better than you? I doubt it. Move on.

He's met some other, "classier", "hotter" woman and thinks being with her shows that he's classy and hot too. (probably not true). Either that or he's gone gay... I mean he is a hair stylist...

yeah, that pretty much sums it up. I'd leave and be happy. There is no better payback than living well and being happy.

He thinks that he might be more mature or maybe your too mature for him. Something like that.

Maybe. Maybe he wants someone who has goals so he doesn't feel he'll end up supporting you.
