They have information for this on the specific airline's website that you will be taking. Each airline (in terms of carry-on luggage) has different specifications because of the different plane sizes so if you are looking for "what kind of carry-on items can I take and how big can they be etc." then check out the airline's website for their carry-on information. Each one is a little different. Also if you have a more specific question like "can I bring ____ with me on the plane?" you can call the airline directly and they can answer that for you based on which plane and flight you are taking.

mobile phone, camera, money, tablets for flight if needed, baby food. liquid exceeding not more than 100mls must be in a transparent resealable plastic bag like a freezer bag. You can take a book. No gas lighters or matches. No sharp objects at all. Log onto the airport website that you are flying from and they will have a section explaining.

It's best to check with the airline, the "rules" have changed alot over the last 4 months. Also each airline varies.
