Witches have no power. There are some mischievous Spirits that are amused when they entertain a witches wishes and create some havoc.

That is correct, all our tools just help us to focus our own power. They are but symbols.

The pentacle is a representation of the 5 elements. The lower left is Earth, the lower right is Fire, the middle left is Air, the middle right is Water, and the uppermost point is Spirit. It reminds us that the spirit is more important than the material world, but we do live in both.

Blessed Be )O(

In this context I wouldn't say so. Focusing of power does use only your own energy to channel it towards a single purpose or feeling but i don't think symbols are devoid of power. But symbols and objects can hold power of their own, or residue and power from other sources. The act that went into creating this symbol, someone seeing it and buying it, and even people that see one and what they thin k of can contribute to energy, and this becomes inherent in the object. This might explain gemstones and crystals although energy can be channeled into them. So to say you could focus power without a pentacle, tha'ts not to say the pentacle is devoid of it's own power, in Akasha the collective unconscious it has a meaning to the self and the wider world, and this gives it power.

Many objects can take on a life of their own.so who knows.the pentacle is also not just used by witches..it was used by Christians to denote the five wounds of Christ and the star that led the wise men to Bethlehem, and by other earth based religions to denote the elements and to denote the human body in general. When turned upside down (single point to the bottom) it can become a Baphomet..

Symbols only have power in what we as humans perceive them as. The symbol in and of itself carries no power.
Wiccan, Christian, whatever - we all carry power. What we choose to do with that power is up to us. There is no inherent meaning in pentacles, crosses, stars, etc. If in your perception you find it in anything then the symbol becomes powerful for you visually as whatever you perceive it to be (fear, hate, love). Our true power lies within ourselves and how we choose to treat ourselves and those around us.
Here is a great poem illustrating the true meaning of power. It is called "Our Deepest Fear" and was written by Marianne Williamson:

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be - brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small doesn’t serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking
so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It’s not just in us, it’s in everyone.
As we let our own light shine,
we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear,
our presence automatically liberates others.

Good luck to you! Believe in the power of the human spirit too.

There are two sources of power, the human mind, and spirit entities. Humans are spirit entities clothed in flesh. So there is really only one source of power: Spirit. But be aware that there are many spirits, and not all are your friends.

And there's no way for you to tell the difference.

Crystals, pentacles, baphonets, and wands only serve to focus the mind, the primary tool of Spirit.

1) I do not believe in witchcraft.
2) However, IF I believed, I would say that NO object has any power other than the person weilding it. A want, a pentacle, a daggar, etc....each can only be used to the ability of the user.

No. The pentacle does have power.

Bear in mind, of course, that if nobody were around to experience it, it would not be power at all.

Power always comes from within. Spells have no power in themselves, an athame has no power alone. It is in the intentional use of of something that it gains whatever power it is granted by the user. (Same goes for guns or words. It's how the world works.)

I believe no ritual object has any power. They are simply forms to help the user direct his or her thoughts and intentions.
