I had a blocked bile duct 5 months after my gall bladder removal surgery. At the site where the duct from the liver empties into the duodenum I had a stone, probably caused because the end of the bile duct has a muscle (sphincter) that was not opening correctly. The surgeon used a endoscopy to remove the stone, and to cut the sphincter muscle at the opening of the bile duct, to prevent further blockage. I haven't had any problems since then.

Yes. The tubes that are reconnected where the Gall Bladder was, can form a pouch that replaces the Gall Bladder to a certain extent.
