in a way you're right Lisa, but humans do fall....alot so GOD doesn't expect them to NEVER do it again, but they shouldn't be presumtuous. (I think that's how you spell it)

I agree with you for the most part. I feel that we can't be the judge of who will go to heaven. We never know what God might actually do. I do believe that if you have God in your life and truely believe in him, and yes repent, then there is favor. Like people discriminating against gay people, God knows their heart, and it's not their fault what they fell, we weren't born gay or straight it's more of a desirable thing I guess that comes from them. People who comment murder and somewhere down the line find Jesus Christ in their life, and repent to him, of course he will forgive them. If anyone has to question God's everlasting love, then they don't truely believe or trust in him. Even the death penalty is a sin, just because someone took another's life, it's a sin for you to take theres. Man killing man is a sin no matter what the situation.
Just let God be the judge no matter what we think.

You're very right. Simply believing in God is not worth a ticket to heaven.
James 2:19 -- You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.
And no, we aren't ok to go on sinning.
Romans 6:1What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? 2By no means! We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?
We are called to lay down our life and follow Jesus. That means to obey Him and do what He tells us to do. Disobedience is sin, and God cannot tolerate sin. True repentance is feeling truly sorry and turning away from sin. A true Christian can't intentionally sin. We still sin, but we don't premeditate. (At least I can't - sometimes I get mad and think about doing something bad, but I can't go through with it - But I do sometimes just lash out in reaction, then I am sorry for it later and I do need to ask forgiveness)

Belief in God and Jesus is prerequisite but just the beginning; Jesus has atoned for our sins by his ultimate sacrifice but the scar of adam`s sin called concupiscence remains with humans; this is our propensity to sin.So we must keep struggling albeit with the saving and divine grace of God, to lead sin-free lives. Sinning(for instance, murdering someone) premeditatively and wilfully with the "hope" that you `d be forgiven once you ask, is tantamount to self-deceit because we cant really deceive God, can we! However, forgiveness is guaranteed if there is true sorrow for sin with a firm purpose of amendment.

You're just about right.
It's a bit more complicated than simply saying that you believe in Jesus and apologizing to God, from time to time.
Only the Catholic Church enjoys the complete revelation of God on this matter, and has all the appropriate resources to properly deal with sin and its' consequences, with all the other complex issues of life, and hopefully, to allow a person to some day, become holy and completely acceptable to God, on his terms.

The dogma of the Trinity explains how Jesus IS God. Jesus is God by way of fact the 2nd guy or woman of the Trinity and not as though there have been extra effective than one god. And the Trinity is only concerning the real nature of one God as His own self-information alllows Him to appreciate & love Himself. God the father initiatives a picture of Himself in this style of an only begotten Son. Love proceeds between the two by way of fact the Holy Spirit permitting them to mutually love one yet another. All this inner undemanding and intrinsic interest interior ONE God is God and is comparable to God as persons as talked approximately in the scriptures. God the Son assumed human nature in this style of Jesus. God the Son did no longer lose His Divinity by employing assuming flesh; at the same time as on the comparable time, did no longer take in human nature the two. hence, Jesus is the two God and genuine guy.

This is the problem with believing in something with no proof. You can just make things up as you go. Because you don't think it's right that people can go to heaven if they just believe in god, you have made up some rule that says you can't because otherwise it's not fair.
Thing is, there is no heaven, hell, or god, so it doesn't matter. You're wasting your time even thinking about such things.

You can not go to heaven just by believing. Remember Christ said, that many people will do things in His name and cast out demons, but Christ will say He did not know them. Obviously those people believed in God. You can not enter heaven without being born again. You must repent in order to be born again. To repent means to turn from sin and change.

Dear Lisa, Number 1, I dont belive yo get into heaven by simply beliving in Jesus, this is not biblically supported. In the Book of James it is written "even the demonds belive and tremble". the demons of hell belive in God, but thier belife in God wont change their condition. The reason many people claim to be chrisitans and act like heathens who have never entered church is because they are false converts, the never saw sin in its true light and repented and trusted in jesus.
let me explain by asking you a few questions...............
Have you ever lied (even once--fibs, white lies, etc.)? Ever stolen (anything--the value is irrelevant)? Jesus said, "Whoever looks upon a woman to lust after her, has committed adultery already with her in his heart." Have you ever looked with lust? If you have said "Yes" to these three questions, by your own admission, you are a lying, thieving, adulterer at heart; and we’ve only looked at three of the Ten Commandments. God didn’t see me as the “nice guy” I imagined myself to be… and he doesn’t see you that way either. Nothing you’ve ever done is hid from His holy eyes. Will you be innocent or guilty on the Day of Judgment? Listen to your conscience. You know that you will be guilty, and therefore end up in Hell. That’s not God’s will. He provided a way for you and I to be forgiven.
He sent His Son to take our punishment: "God commended His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." He was bruised for our iniquities. Jesus then rose from the dead and defeated death.
Your own so-called “goodness” can’t get you into heaven any more than mine could. Jesus is the only way to Heaven. He is the "Door," the only "mediator." There is salvation in no other name. We wil not be saved by simply saying "okay,I belive in God!", the Bible says the only way o be saved is to repent (turn from sin) and place your faith and trust in Jesus. once this has happened and we have seen our ture state before God, we wont return to the ways of the heahten, because we will want to serve God out of a wonderful gratitude for his mercy.
God Bless

Most religions think they can do whatever they want and still go to "heaven". Boy are they in for a big surprise when they get to the other side of life.
