Ive always sorta.. kinda lacked energy and get tired quick. But lately ive been waking up feeling like a train wreck. All groggy feeling like a weird hang over almost. Its been like this for about a month now. Throughout the day i always feel like im tired and could use a nap. I always want to sleep. Im young by the way, 21, and actually im very athletic and fit. I workout out on a regular basis, but my diet isnt the greatest. I have had problems with my liver in the pass though. I had blood testes that came back with high LFTs and had pains in my lower right region where the liver is. I dont know if this could be related. Ive cut down tremendously with alcohol. The pass 5 months ive only drank 3 times and started dieting on occasions. Any help would be appreciated. I hate feeling liek this. You should wake up feeling refresh in the morning. It could be liver, but it could also be a GI problem (like Celiac Disease) or thyroid function. Celiac Disease can cause extreme tiredness, brain fog (kind of feels like being stoned or hungover), headaches, joint pain, diarrhea or constipation, malnutrition, anemia, vomiting, stomach pains or aches, etc. A Celiac can have one of these symptoms, all of them, or none of them. Celiac Disease is an intolerance to gluten, the protein found in grains such as wheat, barley, rye or oats. It's a very common disease, affects 1/133 people (only 1/2000 are actually ever diagnosed). It's 100% treatable through diet. Go to www.celiac.com for more information on CD. www.glutenfreeforum.com is an excellent website as well.

You might have a thorough check of your thyroid levels done. I have a hypo-thyroid condition and your symptoms sound familiar. Do some research before you go to the Dr. so you know what to ask for and what the results should be. There are many things that can go wrong with the thyroid (i.e. hypo-thyroid, hyper-thyroid, Hashimoto thyroiditis...) all which are very controllable with medication.
If not that then still go in and get a complete physical.
God Bless!!

Hi I felt like you though I am older, due to medication which wasn't being processed by the liver my body was full of toxins, I didn't drink alcohol, but as soon as I was off of the offending
pills,I began to feel better, the good thing about the liver it can heal it's self, my liver is ok now and I am fine, so please get some medical advice and the best of luck to you.

You need to see the doc and get him to test you for sleep disorders. This sounds like it might be something as simple as sleep apnea but only a doc can help figure out what is going on. See your doc and get his help on this.
