An empty cross doesn't mean anything. Everyone knows Jesus is not still on the cross but, an empty cross.... There were three crucified that day just make sure your cross represents the right one or else you may be paying homage to the justice given to the criminal who did not join Jesus.

Remove the cross and you'll have it or get a similar beads from a Hindu reciting their Mantras or a Muslim's beads that helps them recite the callings for Allah.
