I just got off the phone with a friend that now has two b***hes with it. I intend to research but was wondering about your experiences. I only had one ***** diagnosed years ago and she was given antibiotics and then surgery. She did quite well.

Thanks, and sorry for my mis-spelling. She called me from outside the vet very upset. The one female is being put down..They are trying to save the other. I dont speak to her often but, did tell her she should be asking the vet. I researched a bit but also find nothing about it being contagious.

My vet said it is NOT contagious even if it's drug resistant.

I have heard of it before, but have no experiences. Sorry.

I am assuming we are talking about MASTITIS. I do not believe it should be contagious. I have never had a bit ch get mastitis of any kind though.
The friend should be talking to their vet and reproductive specialists for the real answers.

Nope, not contagious. I know of a female that had to have all teets removed and it cost the owner 9000.00! But this is definately not contagious, just common.
