It's different from my personal belief, but it doesn't scare me. Christians scare me more often than atheists.

Not a bit. I'm not sure why anyone would be afraid of it. *shrug* I take all view points into account when dealing with topics like Religion. Atheism is a valid view point (no matter what other people say about it).

Some Christians, particularly young Christians (meaning young in the faith) get scared if they are confronted by other ideas, persuasions, and well-meaning zealots.

As we mature in the faith, a confidence and, well, a faith arises in our hearts so we are not concerned about the rantings and ravings of others. We know our bibles, we know what God says, we might not have all the answers to someone's questions but that doesn't bother us either.

My faith is not shaken by the atheist's criticisms or other religion's claims to fame.

That doesn't mean I try to offend or get into arguments, it simply means that I am secure in Christ.

God bless!!

Organizations that seek control over the masses by enslaving their minds, demanding monetary tribute and threatening them with eternal torture frighten me a lot more than atheism does.

No it does not scare me,I can only wonder what has happened to people to make them not have hope in God.I know how painful life is,and it is easy to not believe, and loose faith. The only thing that scares me is that people think so little of themselves, that they feel they will just be put in a hole for eternity. For me that is personally the deepest despair I could have. But its not for the person who does not have a faith, the despair,as far as I have read on here.People are content it appears to not believe in God.

The idea of atheism, no. The way some of the people who follow it act, yes.

Doesn't scare me at all. I've go too many things going on in my own life to worry about what people do with theirs. If someone doesn't want to believe in God, fabulous. Doesn't affect me one bit.

No because I am hindu and hinduism does not condemn atheists to hell

in fact two great saints of hinduism were almost atheists
and we treat them as gr8 saints for their logical reasoning even if it was imperfect or incorrect

Of course not. Does the notion of someone not believing in Zeus scare you? Why be scared of someone not believing in some god or gods?

An atheist is someone with no invisible means of support (quote of some guy)

So, yeah, it might be scary to some
