1. Pray and seek God. It is important to hear His voice. It's not easy, but it can change your life and you can do more too.

2. Learn that God has given you enough for yourself, and enough to support the Church and help the World. Know how much is your provision and how much is your pound/talent/mina (see Luke 19:11-28). Give the pound and keep the provision. Don't get into debt just to give.

Now, to whom you give to depends on what you've heard in #1. If you don't have money, then it's okay but you should hear from God first. Aside from this, you should have a good testimony of what God has done in your life.

Of course, in order to do these things you have to be in a right relationship with God. That's another question. :)

Good Steward. Time...Talent..Resources..etc.

This is a personal issue between God and you.

Time...I give time in prayer, studying the world, encouraging others, teaching others.

Talents...try to use them for the Glory of God. This depends on your spiritual gifts. Learn what they are and work to using them for the God's Glory. Paul told Timothy to use the gifts and be a example to others.

Resources...know that You are Blessed to Be a Blessing to Others. If you have not visited a developming country on a missions trip. Ask God if he would want you to be apart of this. You are one of these: A Goer, A Moblizer, or A Sender.

Give them meat in due season, that is the meat of God's Word.

Mat 24:43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.
Mat 24:44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
Mat 24:45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?
Mat 24:46 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
Mat 24:47 Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.
Mat 24:48 But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;
Mat 24:49 And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;
Mat 24:50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,
Mat 24:51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

By gaining accurate knowledge of the Bible, and by teaching others what the Bible really teaches. Jesus said:.....

John 4: 23 & 24: Nevertheless, the hour is coming, and it is now, when the true worshipers will worship the Father with spirit and truth, for, indeed, the Father is looking for suchlike ones to worship him. 24 God is a Spirit, and those worshiping him must worship with spirit and truth.”

John 17: 3: "This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ."

Matthew 28: 19 & 20: "Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded YOU. And, look! I am with YOU all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.”

Matthew 24: 13 & 14: "But he that has endured to the end is the one that will be saved. 14 And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come."

John 21:15-17: " When, now, they had breakfasted, Jesus said to Simon Peter: “Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?” He said to him: “Yes, Lord, you know I have affection for you.” He said to him: “Feed my lambs.” 16 Again he said to him, a second time: “Simon son of John, do you love me?” He said to him: “Yes, Lord, you know I have affection for you.” He said to him: “Shepherd my little sheep.” 17 He said to him the third time: “Simon son of John, do you have affection for me?” Peter became grieved that he said to him the third time: “Do you have affection for me?” So he said to him: “Lord, you know all things; you are aware that I have affection for you.” Jesus said to him: “Feed my little sheep'

By saying this to Peter 3 times ( in order to stress the importance of this) Jesus was saying that by feeding and shepharding his flock he would be showing his love for Jesus. This is not with actual food, but with spiritual food, God's word. The truth of God's word which is able to impart life to those who accept it.

Matthew 4:4:"But in reply he said: “It is written, ‘Man must live, not on bread alone, but on every utterance coming forth through Jehovah’s mouth.’”

John 6:27: "Work, not for the food that perishes, but for the food that remains for life everlasting, which the Son of man will give YOU; for upon this one the Father, even God, has put his seal [of approval].”

Hebrews 5:14: "For, indeed, although YOU ought to be teachers in view of the time, YOU again need someone to teach YOU from the beginning the elementary things of the sacred pronouncements of God; and YOU have become such as need milk, not solid food. 13 For everyone that partakes of milk is unacquainted with the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. 14 But solid food belongs to mature people, to those who through use have their perceptive powers trained to distinguish both right and wrong."

Acts 17:11: "Now the latter were more noble-minded than those in Thes·sa·lo·ni´ca, for they received the word with the greatest eagerness of mind, carefully examining the Scriptures daily as to whether these things were so."
