First forget the idea of a "perfect" gift for your wife. Here's why. You find the "perfect" gift this year, you will have to top it next year.

I would find a nice bracelet for her. Rent a cabin in the woods with a fireplace, have nice music, wine and roses set up before you take her there. Give her the present in that setting.

As for me, I'm building her a house in the capitol and one on the beach.

It's hard to suggest a perfect gift without knowing her like/dislikes etc...However, maybe you could plan a romantic getaway trip for the both of you as a gift. Those are always nice and it's something she'll remember.

Try a spa gift certificate and a promise that the house will be clean when she returns. Or rent a chef to cook dinner for her, and make all her favorites with dessert. Make sure they or you wash the dishes after.

How about a gift certificate at a spa. She could spend the day and pamper herself with massages, facials, etc.... I am sure she would love to get that.
