Space pollution probably means orbital debris. Some of it will reenter in only a few years, but some of it will be there for thousands of years. The space shuttle has small dings in it from impact of tiny space junk after every flight. One famous case was a small crater in a window caused by a paint fleck. And the space station has to be moved out of the way of known orbital junk once or twice a year. The link "deep s" gave looks good, but I am having some trouble downloading it.

There is not a space pollution. Every thing up there is very small compared to the space up there. Most of it will soon fall back to earth and burn up in the upper atmosphere.

Space pollution consists of junk which continues to orbit Earth including old satellites, booster rockets, and any other mechanical wreckage from things WE have launched into space. It has been up there since the first rocket we fired into space.
