I've not spoken with my Ex for over 3 months, but I still think about her. She tried to call me one month ago, but I never answered - before then we got back in contact after months of not being together or any contact, and we both said it was nice to see each other and ended up hugging and briefly kissing when we did meet up some months back. Since then, we've not contacted each other, until her call some weeks back early on Sunday morning.

Before then, she had dumped me and hurt me badly/ broke my heart, and I told her that.

Question is... why would a girl hug you and kiss you who broke up with you? And why would she call me when she knew how much she broke my heart some months earlier?

We broke up because she wasn't ready for a relationship and she wanted to see other guys (she'd just gotten out of a 4 1/2 yr relationship), but I wasn't so thrilled that's what she wanted as I felt more for her but she wasn't sure of her feelings. That was in February this year. Since then, we kept in touch every now & then, and everytime we saw each other since then she's kissed me and hugged and we seem to enjoy being with each other.

That is simply her way of hanging on to someone she knows will be pining for her. She is not ready to be a partner to anyone, but it gives her comfort and a feeling of confidence and power to have you in her back pocket. Since she is not ready to be your partner, she is probably not ready to be someone else'e either. She may date several people while stringing you along. You are on "standby" until she meets someone who she feels better with then you. It is her way of not burning a bridge with you, in case she doesn't find anyone better for her. it is mean-spirited and cruel. She may not even realize she is doing it, but you can do better, and you certainly deserve better. You should move on and cut the strings. You two broke up for a reason. You have already seen her true colors. That bell cannot be un-rung. You don't have to let her be in control of your feeligs. Your feelings are your job, anyway. Take back your power and move on. Find someone who is ready to be a partner, not making the relationsip all about themselves.

I've had the same experience before. I can see how some people can enter a stage of confusion after a relationship with another. There can always be the question if you're doing the right thing by leaving someone. Maybe she feels it's right, but she's still not sure so she wants to keep you close. I know that's not the right way to do it, but she might be thinking it. Depending on what you want, you might want to distance yourself from her in order to help yourself get over the issue. Otherwise, she could just string you along. If you're okay with that, then by all means, go with it. Just my opinion though.

You need to ask her these questions. She may still have feelings for you. The question is do you still have feelings for her? Just talk to her as see where it goes.

Maybe she feels guilty. . .or maybe she misses having your adoration. Either way, be cautious that she may be playing mind games with you.
