Christians do not become involved in politics.
Why would anyone put their trust in a human ruler?
Psalm 146:3--"Do not rely upon rulers… the sons of men who have no salvation."
God's heavenly government is the only one that will bring peace and security to our planet earth and to all meek ones who inherit it.
All man-made governments will soon be replaced by God's heavenly one which will rule over the earth and it will last forever. See Daniel 2:44

I don't think it's wrong for Christians to be in politics, if fact if all of the governing leaderships around the world were all Christians you wouldn't have such a messed up world. I only get into it for certain issues like the moral end, I don't the economy and those kind of things but I vote for the one I think is Christian and holds my views on issues.

Christians should be involved in politics and have an obligation to help govern their own country. It is a current idea that we leave christianity at the door, do we then leave (you shall not bear false witness) at the door. To elect a christian to office should be a man that will not lie, cheat, or be unfaithful to his wife and family. Those are the kind of people that should govern our country.

As an American you should vote, but leave the religion at the door! You will never find a politician that represents your religious ideals. We have already seen a fine example of how politicians can disappoint those who feel he is a religious representative.
Would I vote for Jesus? In a heartbeat! But for a man on the basis of his faith? Never.

If you mean politics, then I'd say no. Jesus said his followers would be no part of the world. (John 15:19)

The Bible says:
John 17:15-19: "I request you, not to take them out of the world, but to watch over them because of the wicked one. 16 They are no part of the world, just as I am no part of the world. 17 Sanctify them by means of the truth; your word is truth. 18 Just as you sent me forth into the world, I also sent them forth into the world. 19 And I am sanctifying myself in their behalf, that they also may be sanctified by means of truth.
1 John 5: 19: " We know we originate with God, but the whole world is lying in the [power of the] wicked one. 20 But we know that the Son of God has come, and he has given us intellectual capacity that we may gain the knowledge of the true one. And we are in union with the true one, by means of his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and life everlasting.'
1 John 2:15-17: " Do not be loving either the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him; 16 because everything in the world—the desire of the flesh and the desire of the eyes and the showy display of one’s means of life—does not originate with the Father, but originates with the world. 17 Furthermore, the world is passing away and so is its desire, but he that does the will of God remains forever."
Daniel 2:44: " And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be brought to ruin. And the kingdom itself will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite;"
Isaiah 2:4: "And he will certainly render judgment among the nations and set matters straight respecting many peoples. And they will have to beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning shears. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, neither will they learn war anymore."
We do not take part in politics and we do not go to war and kill our brothers and sisters in other countries. We are looking forward to God's promised kingdom (government).
John 18: 35 & 36: " Pilate answered: “I am not a Jew, am I? Your own nation and the chief priests delivered you up to me. What did you do?” 36 Jesus answered: “My kingdom is no part of this world. If my kingdom were part of this world, my attendants would have fought that I should not be delivered up to the Jews. But, as it is, my kingdom is not from this source.”
2 Corinthians 4:1-6: "That is why, since we have this ministry according to the mercy that was shown us, we do not give up; 2 but we have renounced the underhanded things of which to be ashamed, not walking with cunning, neither adulterating the word of God, but by making the truth manifest recommending ourselves to every human conscience in the sight of God. 3 If, now, the good news we declare is in fact veiled, it is veiled among those who are perishing, 4 among whom the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through. 5 For we are preaching, not ourselves, but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as YOUR slaves for Jesus’ sake. 6 For God is he who said: “Let the light shine out of darkness,” and he has shone on our hearts to illuminate [them] with the glorious knowledge of God by the face of Christ.
