You might think about trying this book called "The Movie Star Diet" by Steve Simmons. It helped me lose thirty pounds in 2 1/2 months when I didn't think anything would work. My goal to begin with was only 20 lbs! It has a really easy plan to follow and an excellent workout as well.

The key to losing weight is burning more calories than your consuming. So, first thing I would recommend is track your daily intake. I would recommend doing cardio (walking/running/biking) and sustaining your target heart rate for at least 20 minutes and doing this 3 times a week. I would also recommend doing some lifting to increase your lean body mass; the more lean body mass, the more calories your body burns. I would also recommend getting an accurate body fat measurement done with a body impedence device (Tanita and Omron make good products). These devices will actually tell you the breakdown of your body weight--how much is fat and how much is muscle. These are great at explaining what's actually happening to your body, especially when you have a weight gain.

According to how much overweight you are. SOme can drop 20 lbs in a week others take a year. Quit eating so much, exercise, drink a lot of juice. Nothing, but nothing else works. Every diet plan you see says that it works when combined with diet and exercise. If you lower you caloric intake and increase you exercise you WILL lose weight.

I've been on a low-fat, low-sodium vegan diet for the past 4.5 months, and have lost 50 lbs. It's been a fairly easy diet to follow. Stick to whole grains, fresh fruits and vegetables, don't add any salt and look for low-sodium veggies when going for canned. Stay away from caffeine.

I lost 20 pounds in two months by drinking slim fast for breakfast, lean cuisine for lunch and lean cuisine for dinner. I had pretzel bits for snacks and friday night was all you can eat pizza night. After the first few weeks your stomach has shrunk and you can't eat that much pizza anyway.

You should look into Weight Watchers. Their website can totally guide the way. It's simple and it really works! As long as you can stick to it, you will see the pounds disappear and it's all 100% healthy.

also a diet that has only plants & whole grains.
