Neither gay nor girly. But it smacks of ASBOs and Chavness. Well, actually, it does sound gay. Yup. Definatley gay sounding.

There was a TV programme years ago called Arthur of the Britons and he had a step?half brother called Kye. I think it is a good name that cannot be shortened and is not girly at all.

Kye is English for the Hebrew word for life. And this is gay? I would love to name my boy "life"!

I have never heard this name before, off hand I would say it was a girls name but its certainly a personal choice. Keep in mind though the poor little guy will have to live with this name and the children picking on him. Best of luck!
I love different names I have 3 boys Michael, Gage, and Aiden.

kye is an awesome name for a boy or girl. Spelled kye or chi(as in the greek) it sounds kinda bohemian to me.

I knew someone called Kye. He was a goth. Don't think he was gay though.

If you shorten it to Kye, it does kinda sound "girly", however my mates little boy is Kyran and she does shorten it down when she calls him to Kye and it does sound ok.
