since then i have gained 5 stone 70 pounds. I have just embarked on a diet 2 weeks ago and have lost 10 pounds already do you think that is too much?

That is a lot of weight to lose in 2 weeks. I'd be careful. However, a lot of it could be water weight. You can easily lose 5-7 lbs of water weight. If you keep losing rapidly, be careful with whatever diet this is. If your weight loss starts to slow down a little bit (as in you find next week, you haven't lost 5 more pounds), then you know most of that was water weight and you should be okay. However, eating right and exercising help to keep the weight off rather than going on special diets.

Yes, that is to much. On average you should lose no more then 5 pounds a week. It sound like you are crash dieting, if you are if will all come back quickly plus more. So you should start to make a routine of working out and eating right and if you gain some of that back, that is fine. Just make sure you do not gain it all back. Dont starve yourself thats not good for you, make sure you get everything your body needs to live. Also, if you work out dont ever do it.

i think you have some sort of problem with your yo-yo dieting
but it depends on what you weighed beforehand
