My two year old has been potty trained for 6 months and was completly trained. No accidents for months, no reminders nesassary. All of a sudden she is peeing her pants two to three times a day. I am at my wits end. Should I punish her for the accidents or not? Any advice would be appreciated.

I have been through this with my now 4yr old!! I beleive it is because I just had another baby, and she needed more attention than I was giving..Has ANYTHING changed in her normal routine.I basically tried not to make a big deal of it, although it was HARD, here my baby that had been potty trained for a few years was now having accidents.I just tried to take a few minutes every morning to talk with her and tell her, Maddie, today lets try to have dry pants all day.I then tried to make a game out of it, eventually she will stop. She just needs more attention from you, or her primary care giver...Does she go to daycare? If so, maybe there is a child that has accidents there, and your daughter sees this child getting attention from this behavior, shen then gives it a shot, and when your react with the " why did you tee-tee in your panties, hey! she got a reaction...
Just try to NOT make a big deal out of it, and by all means, DO NOT PUNISH her for it, it will only make it worse!

Do not punish her. This will probably lead to regression, then you will have to start all over again, frustrating for you both.
The usual of quickly tidying her up when an accident happens whil calmly saying things like "ok, so you know to come to mummy when you have to go potty, don't you? Good." and "Next time you feel like you need to go, come and tell mummy straight away." Dont shout at her when she doesnt, this will start the hiding smelly pants in the bedroom phase and that doesnt help anybody.
Once the wet underwear is off sit her on the potty and talk to her about the potty and how good it is. Remind her that wet pants arent nice but the potty is.
Good luck.
ps if my memory is right, there is a potty book for little princesses in the elc, try it!!

No, she may have a bladder problem, my brother (not the one year old) had a bladder problem and so if he has an accident ever once in a while (hasnt had one for a long time) my mom might punish him by making him sit down and think about what he did and then he has to take a bath and help clean the sheets. (or she might just make him think about it , give him a bath and make him put air fresher in the room, she will usually clean his sheets)

I would sit down with her at eye level...one on one...ask her why she is peeing in her pants? Then let her know ..if she doesn't go pee in the potty like a big girl..she wont get to ride the school bus..like big girls do..when its time for her to go to preschool. Or what ever she is into..that requires to be a big girl to do...Praise her..for trying to be a big girl..but she has to continuing peeing in the potty..hope this helps

Go see your pediatrition. It make be an infection or just accidents. Potty trainings shouldnt ever ever ever include punishment unless you want to scar them. Its not that huge of a deal. Just love them.
