how do i switch between programs and files in Microsoft Office?

Use the taskbar. Just click on any open folder to bring it to the top. Make the windows smaller so you can see more windows at the same time. Right click on taskbar and cascade or tile opened programs. Really Kewl.

Alt and Tab.

Or just click the reduced windows on the taskbar. Hope that helps.
